PayslipIQ does not need your name, address, NI number, bank account or date of birth to check the maths on your payslip. Redact those fields before you upload.
Always redact
- Full name and salutation.
- Home address.
- National Insurance number (UK) or PPS number (Ireland).
- Bank sort code and account number.
- Date of birth.
- Employee number, if it doubles as an employer-portal login.
Leave visible (we need these)
- Tax code and basis (M1/W1/X marker).
- NI category letter or PRSI class.
- Pay date and frequency.
- Period and YTD gross, taxable, NIable, tax, NI and net pay.
- Pension contribution line and percentage.
- Student loan plan number.
Three quick redaction methods
- Phone — Markup tool. iOS Markup or Android equivalent, draw a black rectangle over each field.
- Phone — black tape. Stick black tape over the printed slip, then take the photo.
- Desktop — paint or screenshot. Open the PDF, screenshot the relevant section, paint black rectangles.
