Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They help websites remember things about your visit (such as your cookie consent preference) and, when you allow it, help operators measure how the site is used.

Our position

PayslipIQ keeps cookies to a minimum. We set one strictly-necessary cookie (your consent preference) and only load analytics cookies after you give consent. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not run cross-site tracking pixels.

Every cookie we may set

The table below lists every cookie that may appear in your browser when you use PayslipIQ. Strictly-necessary cookies are set on first visit. Analytics cookies are not set unless you click Accept in the consent banner.

Managing your preferences

Your consent preference is stored in localStorage as psiq:consent. To change it:

  1. Reject analytics cookies: Clear your browser cookies for payslipiq.co.uk and revisit. The consent banner will reappear.
  2. Reject specific browser cookies: Use your browser's settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge all let you block specific cookies or all third-party cookies).
  3. Browser-wide control: "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals are honoured — if your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a refusal of analytics cookies.

Why we ask for consent

The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) require us to ask before storing non-essential cookies. We also rely on Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR (consent) for analytics processing.

Third-party cookies

When you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity may set their own cookies and process aggregated data on their servers in the US. International transfers are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (with UK Extension). See our Privacy Policy and Trust Centre for the full sub-processor list.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if we add a new cookie. Material changes will be highlighted via the cookie banner the next time you visit.
